Maybe he has the Knack

Dutch finding thingsDutch is a curious little boy. In the past twelve months his mind has expanded exponentially, and we continually see so much potential in him. He’s amazing! For example this morning I had to dig a bug out of his mouth (he likes to find them in the corners of the kitchen, like the picture on the right…)

But he is not only quick to find little snacks on the kitchen floor … he’s also quick to learn things. These days he is really fascinated with the vacuum cleaner. He loves to push the buttons and play with the (unplugged) cord.

Here he is this morning, playing…

And pushing the vacuum around…

A friend sent us the video clip of The Knack a few months ago and we love it! Jerrod’s a mechanical engineer, so it was hilarious! We just included at the end of the home video DVD we made of Noah for our families. Those silly engineer folk! :)

  • What is deTheos?

The two Greek words de ("but") and Theos ("God") are the first two words of Ephesians 2:4: "But God, who is rich in mercy..." Because of God's great love and grace extending to us in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, redeemed and able to know, love + enjoy God more fully, ever-increasing and forever.
This site contains the thoughts and conclusions and journeys of the Patterson family -- Jeff, Kari and Dutch -- who have experienced the front-end of God's amazing grace, and continue to delight in His unfailing love.
