Oprah’s new church

Perhaps the most influential voice in America, stakes her claim as a spiritual leader and denies the identity, work and exclusivity of Jesus the Christ. How can millions of so-called Christians in the U.S. watch her every day, read her recommended books, and follow after her so blindly?

I’m not asking for Oprah to affirm the true vision of Jesus (as she’s not a genuine believer, she cannot), but please don’t muddy the waters and consider one’s self a Christian and then say these nonsensical things. Oprah has more influence than she could ever realize.

Oprah definitely needs the true knowledge of God. I believe it has never been presented to her in a way so that she can grab the concept. I hope those who admire her knows that the devil also give gifts to make people seem prosperous but it is only for so long. I pray God give Oprah spiritual glasses or eye salve or some balm from Gilead because she needs to see the truth.

I haveing preached the Gospel for many years ,Oprah, I hope you are listing to this, it is a responce to there is many ways to heaven. Jesus says there is one way to Heaven, he says “I am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the father but by me.”You said that somthing touched you, not in a good way, when tha preacher said God is a jeoulous God, this means that God loves us so very much that he values our worship and dos not want us to go astray after other gods.God dos not need our money our cloths or our fame. I’m very disaponted to here someone is leading such a great multatude astray, and to think evil of God by rejecting his word. The Bible says “if any man speake not according to this word {The BIBLE] that is becouse there is no light in them.” Oprah where is that light. the bible says and if the light that is in you is darkness how great is that darkness.
the man that was with you said there is no death. In
this he is right, weather you are with christ or not, you will live forever. the question is will you live in Heaven or Hell. you have to ask your self a question, what dos God say about the teaching you are teaching. The bible says,”the false prophet will come in the last days and decieve many.”… “but both the false prophet and the antichrist was cast in to hell.” the word false prophet is someone that teaches a lie, in this he is right, you and I will live forever just maybe not where we want to. The Bible also says,”there is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof is death.” this death dos not mean death as of duying
but eternal serpation from God.in a place,”Where the worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched”.God said,”if a person dos not believe the truth God will send them strong delusions that thay may believe a lie because thay have hade pleasure in believing not the truth.”

PS He also said that,”whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved.” please don’t take millions of people in the wroung deraction with a false teaching.

My comment is that just because one has misunderstood the word, does not equate to demonic association. Thats why we can’t effective make disciples of all nations because Christians are the most judemental people on earth. I don’t think that the people run from Jesus, they run from his representatives, which are us, Christians. How has Barak been associated with this new earth thing, when for weeks his Christian pastor has been racked through the mud by the media. Are you Christians assuming that because Oprah endores Obama he is not a Christian? Does association make you believe just as the one you are seen with. Jesus met a woman at the well, who was a Samaratian, he endorsed her, encouraged her; You people are unreal.

I don’t agree with much of any of the comments here on this post. As long as visitors are civil, I’ll leave them up. This post is not meant to bash Oprah but rather to shed light on the subject that her message is not Christian, and thus like all messages should be evaluated (including comments here).

The two Greek words de ("but") and Theos ("God") are the first two words of Ephesians 2:4: "But God, who is rich in mercy..." Because of God's great love and grace extending to us in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, redeemed and able to know, love + enjoy God more fully, ever-increasing and forever.
This site contains the thoughts and conclusions and journeys of the Patterson family -- Jeff, Kari and Dutch -- who have experienced the front-end of God's amazing grace, and continue to delight in His unfailing love.
