Silly Jackalopes

The JackalopesI am in two fantasy football leagues. Yeah, probably two too many (as Kari tells me). Team name: The Jackalopes (it’s a long story as to why that name, but the mascot is a hybrid of a jackrabbit and an antelope — thus, jackalope ).

As for my two teams, in separate leagues: with one I’m 0-4, the other is 4-0. Last place and first place. Funny how that happens, through no real skill of my own. Wasn’t available to be there for the draft in person for either, but somehow the two teams are going the opposite directions. Deciding who I will play in the coming week gives me a good 10 minute pause in the week, and I really don’t give it that much thought.

Okay, you just wasted 30 seconds by reading this … and me by writing it. :-)

Have a great weekend. We hope to share some new family news in the near future (and yes, we are pregnant , but that’s not the news).

  • What is deTheos?

The two Greek words de ("but") and Theos ("God") are the first two words of Ephesians 2:4: "But God, who is rich in mercy..." Because of God's great love and grace extending to us in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, redeemed and able to know, love + enjoy God more fully, ever-increasing and forever.
This site contains the thoughts and conclusions and journeys of the Patterson family -- Jeff, Kari and Dutch -- who have experienced the front-end of God's amazing grace, and continue to delight in His unfailing love.
