About

[Jeff + Kari]We first met while students at OSU, though neither us were impressed with the other. Over time, through our involvement as college students serving in Campus Crusade for Christ; we developed a friendship, which later deepened while serving as campus missionaries at OSU with Real Life Ministries and Calvary Chapel of Corvallis full-time (2001-04). Side-by-side, we strived to impart a love of Jesus Christ to the college students there at OSU. We also taught at the School of Ministry there in Corvallis. We relish our time there as setting the firm foundation among the saints to continue in this life of faith, following Jesus.

In December 2002 God succinctly showed us His future plans for us as one, as husband and wife. After I sought the approval of Kari’s father we entered into courtship, then engagement, and on the 28th of June 2003 we gave our vows and entered a marriage covenant for life. Every day has been better than the previous, and this adventure of union with one another and with Christ has proved to be the most fulfilling days of our lives.

J + K + d = Jeff + Kari + Dutch

::In December 2006 our 2-in-1 became 3-in-1, as our little boy Dutch entered the world. He has taught us more in these brief few months than we ever though possible. The joy of his smile, and sound in his cooing and grunting . We hope to slow this season down and get the very most out of being a young family.

We currently live in Molalla, Oregon, with Kari serving in our home raising our son Dutch, and until recently Jeff worked as a Project Engineer for Kamph Construction in McMinnville. We both are truly blessed to be able to currently attend Multnomah Biblical Seminary full-time. Jeff also is a pastoral intern at Foothills Community Church in Molalla, and teaches New Testament courses one day a week at Cornerstone School of Ministry in Corvallis.

  • What is deTheos?

The two Greek words de ("but") and Theos ("God") are the first two words of Ephesians 2:4: "But God, who is rich in mercy..." Because of God's great love and grace extending to us in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven, redeemed and able to know, love + enjoy God more fully, ever-increasing and forever.
This site contains the thoughts and conclusions and journeys of the Patterson family -- Jeff, Kari and Dutch -- who have experienced the front-end of God's amazing grace, and continue to delight in His unfailing love.
